So ladies here I am, at 38 wks, and I have officially gained 40 lbs!! I feel like a fattie! To those of you who have had your babies, how has your weight loss been? I plan on breastfeeding, and i'm a gym rat, so I know I will lose it eventually. I just dont want to be walking around in my maternity clothes for the next 6 months! And I REFUSE to go out and buy new clothes! I am determined to get back into my pre pregnancy jeans by at least March, because thats all that I have!! So ladies, what has been your experience with weight gain/weight loss during and after your pregnancy?? How much can I expect to lose by the time I come home from the hospital? By my 6-week check up?? I know this will be different for everyone because of the different factors involved...I just want to get a general idea!! Thanks in advance for your comments!!

Tuesday, 13 Oct Girl you'll have your body back in no time, by breastfeeding!! I lost all my baby weight with both my kids. The pics I have up on my page before I got pregnant was after I had both my kids..those were actually taken last yr. I really didn't even have to work out at all..I just basically breastfed and lost it all, although I don't really know how long it took. claire louise -

Monday, 12 Oct Hey last week I gained a total of 40 lbs as well. But everyone is saying it's mainly baby, The baby measured 9lbs 2 oz. I know it will take time to go back down to pre prego size but I'll try and work at it in moderation. expecting-2b-patient (Cheryl) -
Monday, 12 Oct You look amazing now, hun! I'm sure you wont have a problem after pregnancy if you want to lose most of the weight. Especially the fact that you said you go to the gym all the time. You'll be suprised how much is water weight, baby weight, placenta... it's quite a bit in itself! Plus if you're going to breast feed that is a HUGE calorie burner and helps bring your uterus down to it's "normal size"... and fast! mikey and cjs mommy -
Monday, 12 Oct i gianed a total of 50-55 pounds by the time i gave birth. Im not sure how much i lost before i went home....but i know i lost about 30 at my 6week check up (which i assume was all the baby weight). the extra 20-25 pounds wasnt so fun to lose. i had issues breastfeeding and didnt start hitting the cardio or watching what i ate until my son was about 9 months. once i did though,,,,that other 20 came off in less than 2 months. shoulda done it much earlier! good luck!
