31-7-2011 - Aleigha's Almost 3!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Can't believe our lil Princess is almost 3!!! Wow, how time flies! I'm definitely glad we waited as long as we did for baby #2 because it gave us time to enjoy every little second with her! And she's at the perfect age to understand Brayden is her little brother! I'm sure there's no doubt they'll be best friends one day. She loves every bit of him & he smiles just at the sound of her voice. I'm guessing he recognizes it from her carrying on convos with him when he was still in my belly. Her sentences are really starting to come together now. It's so funny to hear her trying to express what she wants or just trying to carry on a general conversation with us. She knows all her numbers 1-20... Her little trick tho is she likes to say them out of the blue when she thinks nobody is listening. We were amazed the first time we heard her rattle them off. Now we're working on the ABC's. We did succeed in getting her potty trained by about 26 months. Which came in very handy with me being pregnant with Brayden. Didn't have to worry about 2 babies being in diapers! She was very easy too! Not so sure it'll be as easy potty training the boy! haha She's definitely our girly girl! She loves dresses... and loves pretending to put on make-up with her Nana every morning. Another favorite thing of hers is getting her nails painted... She thinks she needs to be just like all of us big girls! :) She has her little moments here & there but we've really been blessed with her overall! She's pretty easy going & well behaved. We're planning her 3rd Birthday party right now... She's so excited cuz she understands the whole birthday idea now. Her theme is LadyBugs! Can't wait for her party!
