Our Fairytale Valentines Day *2009*!
Me & Vic both had made plans for the other for Valentine’s Day this year, not knowing the other one was working on it too! Needless to say, Vic won this year! He wouldn’t tell me what we were doing but he said he planned a whole days worth for his Girls, me & Aleigha!
We woke up at 5:30 because we wanted to surprise my family with going over to St Louis & getting donuts from our favorite donut shop! After we got back & had breakfast with my parents, we headed out for Vic’s Valentines Day Surprises! He kept in suspense throughout the day with where we’d be going next!
Our first Destination we headed to was the City Museum! This place holds many memories for the two of us! Back on February 11, 2006 we went & spent the day here! Vic had flown in from NY (where he lived at the time!), and spent V-day week with me. We’d met the previous Christmas & he wanted to ask me out then but I said “This can’t happen you live in NY!” And I really didn’t think a guy would stick to what he was saying… which was that he would be coming to visit me. He proved me wrong though. Anyways…. He asked me to be his girlfriend & then kissed me for the 1st time in one of the Caves at the Museum! We had a lot of fun with Aleigha there… She loved the big slide… I think he caught her belly… She was all smiles! Finding your way through a cave with a baby stroller can be a little challenging but that actually made it that much more fun!
Leaving the Museum, we pulled up to the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown! He knows this is by far one of my favorite restaurants…. It’s also a place we went to for dinner on his first trip down here. Another connection with this place is this is where we held our Rehearsal Dinner!!! It’s a family favorite! Vic went in ahead of me because I was finishing feeding Aleigha in the car, so he was going to give them our name. When he came back out for us, we went in & come to find out he had asked the hostess if he could pick the table out. He picked one that was as secluded as you could get in… and it was also a booth we’ve been seated at many times in the past!
Leaving there, we drove a little over a mile to the parking garage for the Arch. Our next adventure!!! Yet again, another place we went on his 1st trip to see me! This was also Aleigha’s 1st trip up in the arch… It was kinda cute because he remembered some of the poses we did in pictures that 1st trip we had made… And he tried to create the poses… With our new addition added to them! Aleigha loved looking out the windows… It’s amazing how much you can see from up there!!!
After strolling back thru the park to get back to the car, we headed for our last place! He took us to a fancy steakhouse in downtown for Desert! He knows how much I love cheesecake so he ordered a New York Cheesecake with caramel & hot fudge sauce drizzled over it! It was the perfect ending to the day!!!
We headed home for a couple hours… and then went with my parents & grandparents out to a Casino in downtown St Louis! We gambled & had dinner out there!!! My sisters took care of Aleigha for the evening!
Needless to say, I had an amazing Valentine’s Day!!! Guess you could say I found my right Prince Charming!!! I created a video that has some of the moments we captured on camera throughout the day…. Hope you enjoy!!!
