25-4-2009 - 4D UltraSound

Today was the 4D ultrasound. It went really good. She cooperated so well! We had a group of family and friends come to watch. They laid me up on table? and everyone else was seated on chairs and couches in the front of the room with a big screen TV that showed everything as she moved the wand around. She told us that she would begin with the typical 2d black and white view until she got her in a good position. No sooner than she clicked it on, she decided to move strait to the 4D view because she was in such a good position. Seeing her face was the coolest experience I?ve ever had. She did amazing? Opened and closed her eyes? My absolute favorite part was when she started drinking the amniotic fluid. You could her little cheeks going in and out as she opened and closed her mouth. You could even see her sticking her little tongue in and out of her mouth. A couple times, the tech had me & Vic pushing around on my belly. Every time we?d push around her, she?d arch her back backwards or move her head?. Like leave me alone! HaHa Nothing made this pregnancy more real than seeing her in this 4D view! I think I could even make out a little dimple in her chin, like her daddy?s! A couple times she?d grab a hold of her feet and play with them too. Another neat shot they captured was her with her feet crossed at her ankles! It was so cute! The session lasted for about a half hour? The time couldn?t have gone by any faster though? I could have laid there watching that all day! Part of our package included a copy of the ultrasound on a DVD, with lullaby music playing in the background. We also got a CD with still shots that the tech had taken throughout the session and a bear that they had placed a recording of her heartbeat in. I would definitely do it all over again!
