| 25-4-2009 - My Shower | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
July 29, 2008
My family threw me a Beautiful Shower on July 27th! Our little girl is going to be such a lucky little one to have them all in her Life! We had a very good turn out of about 40 people. Definitely would have to say we received more gifts than we ever expected! Each guest was asked to bring a book for her to the shower. I thought that was such a neat idea because now she has a good collection of books for us to read to her. Her daddy knew of this idea?So him & my mom came up with the idea of him making her a book shelf to hold them all in her nursery!!! That was another surprise in itself? It was so cute! I?ll post some pictures of all the wonderful gifts we were given! Yesterday, we spent the day unloading and putting away all the shower gifts. It was an all day job but we found a place in her nursery for just about everything! We had fun putting all the different pieces together and hanging all her new little outfits! Me & mom ran to get lunch? and came back to the surprise that Vic and my sister had put her swing together. If anyone is looking for a good swing? This is the best swing we?ve ever seen! I was so excited that we were lucky enough to have been given it as a gift? We put it on our registry in hopes of getting it but we weren?t expecting anyone to actually buy it! We had a good time flipping thru all the different music is plays. We are very thankful for every gift we were given!
Luckily, she didn?t decide to make her little appearance before her shower. I say this because she seems to be so low? and her movements have become quite a bit stronger. 6 more weeks to go if she goes full term! I find her to be more active in the evenings than during the day. She?ll just roll her little hands and feet back in forth in my belly. We?re amazed every time we see her pushing her little hands or feet up thru my belly. I?m excited for her to get here so I can just hold her in my arms but? at the same time, I?m enjoying these last weeks of her kicking and rolling. I?ve gotten so used to being woke up by her little movements in my belly or just even lying down and watching her being so active! I know I?m going to miss those little things!!!
We go for another appointment this Thursday? 34 week check up! ?Only 2 more and they will be doing another ultrasound and measuring how big she is! I can?t wait to find her weight out!
Other than feeling her movements, I don?t feel too pregnant most of the time. Going up and down the stairs a few times can take my breath away a little more quickly, but I think I?ve been very lucky to feel the way I do! Being pregnant has been an experience I wouldn?t trade or take back for the world! Knowing there is a little life growing inside me more and more each day is amazing!
Last night my mom helped me start packing my Hospital bag and hers. Her & my sister were getting a kick out of me because I was trying to match up a hat or headband? socks? and a blanket with each outfit for her!!! I?m a girly girl? so I can?t wait to dress her all up!
Being we?re down to the final weeks, my plan is to try to keep this blog updated more frequently. From what I?ve read and heard changes really start picking up in these final weeks!!!
