Aleigha's appointment went fairly good! The cardiologist listened to her heart and could hear her heart murmor. He also thought he could hear something what they call a VSD. So he sent her over for ultrasounds. She did awesome, especially considering they held her still on a table for 45min doing it! The ultrasound pictures showed she has VSD. VSD is a little hole right between the left & right ventricles. The hole is near the muscle area which is a good thing. It would have been more dangerous if it would have been located higher up. The doctor was really optimistic about it & made us feel pretty confident about it. He said the hole should close up as she gets older. She's scheduled to go back & see him again when she's 2!

My daughter has the same thing, except she has 2 holes on the septum wall in her ventricles. They are going to see her at 6 months.
