30-3-2009 - Why????????

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

My 19yrs old daughter just decided to tell me that she thinks she is pregnant. She states that she hasn't had unprotected sex but can't remember when her period was .I made her take a pregnancy test and the dam thing turned positive befor the urine finished going across the film.She wants an abortion because she is not ready to be a mom.So why do people who don't want a child get pregnant and those who want a child can't have one? I am so pissed off and mad and upset right now. I have no one to talk to about this except for you gals.

I think as very very hard as it will be, you need to support your daughter in whatever decision she makes.

I'm with you! It makes me so angry! We live in a college town &my husband has waitresses come up pregnant all the time! It is not fair! Sometimes it makes me question my faith but I suppose everything happens for a reason & it will all work out in the end.

Thats a shame! I was 19 when i had my dd and she changed my life for the better! I had considered abortion but am glad i didnt go thru with it...maybe she will come around...hope everything works out! ((HUGS))

That has to be one of the most frustrating things I've heard. You want so badly to have another baby, and when your daughter gets pregnant she doesn't want hers. Hun I was going on the age of 19 when I first found out I was pregnant. Now abortion never came across my mind, and glad it never has. My son is the center of my world. She can't say a child will get in the way, I'm a fulltime college student, planning to get a job and raise my son by myself. I'm now 20 and thank God for my son everyday.

I know a friend of mine who was 19 when she got pregnant with her baby girl. Now she was devastated especially because the father of a baby was a guy she had a one night stand. She contemplated on getting an abortion or an adoption and after I got talking to her and encouraged her, she decided to keep the baby. And now she couldn't be any happier, her daughter is also the center of her world.

Now I encouraging you to get information, let your daughter watch abortion procedures. I think if she watches for herself what they do, then she may change her mind.

I guess my whole thing is while we can't make the decision for her, I just want to say many girls her age (such as myself) and younger have been pregnant, given birth and are wonderful mothers.
