Write a new blog
15-5-2009 - long time ladies :-) content My mood while writing this blog:
content

I have missed all of you terribly. Very few of us seem to be regular on the baby forum. Whenever I go there, it is mostly new people there, people I don't know. And I never have the time to visit everyone's profiles, much as I would love to. It is all I can do to read new blogs.

All I seem to be doing is washing, drying and folding clothes, changing nappies, breastfeeding (lol at sunnymom's blog on breastfeeding. btw, why does one have to airdry boobs?), organizing stuff, rocking etc. and I picture all of us all over the world doing the same stuff :-)

I have a few questions. Do answer them and do write in to tell me how you are doing if you have the time.

1. All of you who had c-sections, do you feel pinprick like pain (only more intense) at your incision site? What exercises are you doing? Have you managed to lose weight?

2. After the two month shots, is it normal for a baby to have fever on and off for as long as a week?

3. Those of you who are breastfeeding, how do you know if your baby is having enough? Is there anything one can do to keep up the milk supply apart from having the baby feed regularly?

4. Have your relationships with youir husbands changed dramatically? For better or for worse?

Do write back soon. Love to all of you and to your babies.

Hi Bear!
I didn't have a c-section. I wasn't able to breastfeed. Owen was diagnosed with a poor suck and was literally starving himself. I tried to train him how to suck with a lactation consultant but it didn't help. Now I pump what I can-not that much, and he gets formula for the rest. He also has really bad reflux(maybe why he couldn't BF?) and is on medication for it. They say that a baby is getting enough when there are 6 wet diapers per day, the baby seems content between feedings, and is gaining weight. Owen was really cranky upset after his shots for a day. I don't know about a fever since I didn't take his temp. I did give him tylenol for the first 24 hours after his shots. I don't think my relationship has changed. DH is still working a lot and I take care of the baby. I actually think things are going to change next month when I go back to work and he takes care of the baby for a month.

Hey there mamma!!

so question 1. Yes i feel sharp pains still near the incision and around..and tummy has gone down, i'm only just starting to do sit ups now but my tummy is still hanging over the incision, all fat!
2. Georgie had a fever for 2 days and wasn't herself, she had hers last wed but by saturday she was ok
3. I'm breastfeeding as well and you don't know!!!
I feed her and burp her and feed her again after otherwise she will feed go and play for 10min and then her hand is back up in her mouth. There are some days i feel she drains me dry, especially from 6pm til she goes to sleep, cause she sleeps 9 hours so she feeds and feeds. But other days i feel i have tons of milk. But i pump every night before bed and every time i feel full, i'm stocking the freezer up of milk.
I'm also trying to make her go about 2.5-3 hours in between feeds now so i know she is really hungry!

Hey! Most of the people who were preg with us have moved to Facebook. It's really fun and easier to navigate. Let us know if you have a profile or make one!
1. - no c-section
2. My dr. didn't say that a fever was normal for a week but for about 24 - 48 hrs. He just had the shots yesterday and I have been giving him tylenol every 4 hrs.
3. I pump to keep up my supply, but if you are feeding regularly you should be fine.
4. Yes, our relationship is different. It seems like he cares more about video games lately. It hasn't changed too much, though.
3.
