Ok, so, in the beginning, I wasn't writing this often, but now I just have to .... I have to lesson plan today to teach my 2nd graders for the entirety of next week. Luckily, I'm planning for the week and won't have to do this shit again till next Sunday, but, last night, I had dreams about fucking up and doing this wrong and being yelled at by bosses ... I woke up terrified, not wanting to do this ... so, conclusion? Teaching isn't for me. I learned that I'm still considered a tutor with this company I work for, so next October, when little Lia is 2 months old, I'll start tutoring some weeknights and, mostly, weekends so that I wouldn't have to get a sitter because my husband would be home. Then .... dare I say it? ... I could keep writing my novel on the side, too! *gasp* Ooh, and I found this article on maternity leave rights for teachers in NYC, and it says I can take maternity leave whenever I please during my pregnancy. How cool would it be to take all of June off or something or start it even earlier? Well, not earlier since we have a trip on May 14 and May 28. Update: I planned some lessons, and think I'm prepared for tomorrow, but we'll see what my AP says. We have a pre-observation meeting tomorrow, and then she formally observes me on Wednesday. Anyway, it was great to plan with a fellow bilingual teacher who lives 2 blocks from me! And she inspired me to write, so I took another look at my novel and see that I have edited 82 / 243 pages! Not bad .... I felt accomplished today!
