I got my shipment of 21 cloth diapers! They are so cute! I love them! I got all kinds of colors (and it better be a girl 'cause I didn't realize I ordered one that's hot pink). I got them from www.keenbambino.com. The service was great. I had them on lay-away through pay-pal, and the owner of the business is awesome and has great communication. If you ever consider getting cloth diapers, go there! :o) Now, we have more things than we thought, and we definitely need to buy a dresser or something. Right now, everything is in the diaper bag or on the stroller. We got some onesies, socks, hats, blankets, towels, regular 3-ply cloth diapers from Gerber, and then the all-in-one/one size cloth diapers, the diaper bag, the stroller, and even a large pack of wipes (we're starting to collect 'em early!). We have bibs and the diaper covers for the 3-ply, we have baby pins, and a sling to carry the baby in. So, now, basically, everything else we get should be from others and should supplement our first-weeks survival kit we've prepared with all these things we've bought! :o) So exciting!
Oh, and my older sister totally made me feel better about the baby's chances and all that. She said that the AFP or Quad (blood screen test to screen for down's syndrome and other genetic disorders) were made optional to her. Her statement reminded me of a midwive's website where the test was also optional. My sis said it's because there are often false positives and/or the minimal "increased risks" can merely scare the mom-to-be, so many places only give that screening to women with a known background or increased risk. So, I feel much better and more optimistic.
With work, I feel a tad better about lesson planning. I like my literacy coach and she planned with me yesterday, and our class at college yesterday had to do with lesson planning, and she gaves us a format that I'm pulling from. Also, I'm set up to plan with a friend of mine from the cohort who also lives 2-3 blocks from me, so things are looking brighter. I mean, I guess my AP wants to be succeed and get an S on my evaluation on Wednesday if she set me up with so many extra preps to meet with coaches and plan, right? Let's see how it goes.
