Hey ladies. I am 8 weeks 1 day today, and I saw some spotting. It wasn't as much as when I was 7 weeks 2 days. It's not a lot at all, and the color is brown. I've heard not to worry about this. No cramps associated with the spotting. I think the first spotting episode was due to sexual *clears throat* activity. The second one that happened today may be old blood from my ER visit where the OB/GYN on duty internally examined me a bit too roughly (ouch!). Everything looked fine at the January 5 ER visit. My levels, urine, and the baby looked great, said the doctor. I'm trying not to worry, but you ladies know how it is! :-/ The good (reassuring) news is that I'm still bloated, nauseous, fatigued, and have tender breasts. Also, I've gained 3 pounds already and I feel that my uterus (that area) has hardened a bit. Please send sticky vibes my way! I send it to all of you, too!
Update:
You know what I just realized? If I weren't pregnant, today would be the expected day of my period. Am I spotting because of something related to this? I read something similar on another site. Or am I being paranoid? :oP

I saw more spotting today, but it was way lighter. I've taken pictures of what the spotting looked like on my underwear, and the ability to compare and notice the lightness calmed me. I had feelings, throughout the day, that felt like AF was going to come. But, alas, I vomited this evening! I hope that is a good sign that my chunky-monkey is still in there!

Today I felt better. I had mild nausea that was mostly at bay. But I've been having this dull ache in my mid-back to the right side. I researched this (Google, of course), and saw that this is where my gallbladder/kidney/liver is. Now, I'm concerned. At 7 weeks, they found an UTI. It would suck if at my appointment on Monday at 9 weeks, they find something else that may be related to my gallbladder, kidney, or liver! :o/

There's a heartbeat! I saw it flicker on the screen, and got to hear it, too! And we got a much better ultrasound this time around! We are very excited, relieved, and hopeful!

Everything has been going well. My mild rosacea has been acting up, I'm still bloated, and I still get nauseous (especially when I don't eat something at least every 3 hours). I have an appointment on the 4th at a birthing center and another one on the 14th at a clinic. This is the time for me to make my choice. Which spot will I choose for my prenatal care? The birthing center or the traditional clinic that will lead me to a hospital birth?
