Monday, 28 Sep ive just had a growth scan today because i was measuring 4wks ahead!! all they do is measure babys skull and tummy to see that they are measuring up. I got myself all worked up about it but it was really nothing to worry about. Keep us updated xx byrdi -
Monday, 28 Sep the baby is probably curled up....the scan usually is fairly accurate although even it can be a pound or so off, so don't write that in stone either....i'm sure everything will be fine, hang in there! 20052007 -
Monday, 28 Sep I have been messuring small too. I see my doctor today and she said that i might need a scan done too. I never messerd small with my boys so this is new to me to. I can only hope for the best and see what happens. I wouldnt worry to much because then baby gets stressed and that is not good. Just wait and see what happens. I am sure we will be fine. Keep me posted and i will do the same! Dizzyblond1979 -
Monday, 28 Sep Hi hunWhen i was pregnant with my Daughter who is now 15 months i had a friend who was also expecting at the same time ( a girl) and she was told the same thing that her baby was measuring small they even took her around neonatal unit as they said baby was going to be small.she brought preemie clothes and everything as they said that it was best to bring the baby on as it wasnt doing much better in the womb....when she gave birth the baby was 6lb 7oz!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how wrong were they! all that worry for nothing infact my baby was smaller than hers and i wnet 2 weeks over so please dont worry just yet.I will be checking to see how yu get on hun keep us posted big hugs xxx expecting-2b-patient (Cheryl) -
Monday, 28 Sep Let us know how it goes, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. A few weeks ago I was the opposite, she said he was measuring a few weeks larger. I had to get an U/S for measurements and he was fine. I think it's just how they lay sometimes. Also if that's the case, he'll just be a little small- they say you can measure 2 weeks ahead or 2 weeks behind... baby will be fine =) claire louise -

Monday, 28 Sep you shouldn't worry too much. i've heard them say they thought the baby would be 10lbs so they did a c-section and the baby turned out to be like 7lbs. there's no way they can know for sure. so i'm sure baby is fine. don't let them freak you out or anything. faith09 -
Monday, 28 Sep At my last u/s the doc told me that my baby is measuring small. She is in the 20th percentile for her weight. He isn't concerned though because he said her growth is symmetrical (she is showing appropriate growth at each u/s, which i get every 4 weeks). He also said that I could just be a mom who makes small babies. My mom and grandma all had babies in the 5-6 lb range, so I am assuming small babies run in the fmaily. But I wouldn't stress about it. As long as she is growing and seems to be healthy than maybe you just make small babies as well. Good luck on your scan!
