19-10-2009 - bored, an seen miwife !

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

so i had a midwife appointment today, and she was EVIL , well not evil but she was the most uninterested cow ever !! she rushed me in an out in 3 mins ! and is was a midwife ive never ever met before ! urrrgh ! feeling frusrated enough at the moment with out this !

so she checked my pee - fine, checked my blood pressure- fine, and felt my tummy fine baby is still engaged with his back to my left, bum up top and legs and arms to my right , which i'd kinda guessed as thats where elbows are popping out !! told me that as my over due appointment is next tues no point seeing her for the monday appointment, so i was told i will be having a sweep that tuesday if baby is still in and an internal - my first ever which im v nervous about have no idea what to expect :-/ any advice or someone telling me what to expect would be fab !

baby is fine, but is starting to hurt me with his movements, and im mega sore down below an round my hips as i have been doing quite a bit of walking about today! also TMI big time but i keep waking up with slight pains down there an getting bit excited, only to realsie its trapped wind and once its gone back to normal lol !!

still driving myself mental hoping my waters will go everytime i get up grrr but i know its just me being daft and he will prob b in there forever !!

also and i realise this blog is really rambling and out of order so sorry, when i go for the sweep i will get a date for induction, and this will be 9/10 days after due date depending on how busy they are which is AGES but i have realised if i go 10 days over i could have a november baby - which is really weird !! hmmmm

right im stopping writing now as its getting far to random lol !

Good luck with your progress! It's not long now. I hate it when doctors seem unintrested and rush you through. There is nothing worse! Good luck next week. I've never had an internal exam either- I'm a little nervous. As some women say it's painful and they feel cramps all the rest of the day. But then again there are a lot of women that say it doesn't hurt... so we'll see if I get one today at my appointment.

i had three sweeps over the last week of this pregnancy and they didn't hurt at all, only a little uncomfortable for sure....just a lot of pressure!

well a sweep hurts, unless you are dilated to at least a 2 then maybe it wont hurt as bad as mine did lol i was barley dilated to a 1 & they did a sweep...yeah hurt pretty bad,(& it didnt even work lol ) but nothing that ya cant handle. all of the waiting you are doing will be sooo worth it when your baby gets here, and you meet them for the first time! good luck!

i know how u feel, u kind of spend the whole pregnancy waiting for the final appointments and theyre always such a disapointment when they rush u out in a few mins, luckily they cant stay in forever but i know first hand that it feels like they just mite :( try and focus on something else for the next week yep hard i know but if u got something else to focus on u wont spend the next week obssessing over ur next appointment .......... take care and good luck xx
