i had the hardest run i have ever had last night! a female 20yrs old (which is the same age as me) she was 9 weeks pregnant (i'm 10weeks 4days) she had a miscarriage. i walk in to her sitting in an empty bathtub,with blood, and lots of clots going toward the drain! i'm not going to go into any other details, but i made it through the run, got back to the fire station and went straight to bed! i just felt for her, she would grab my hand and look into my eyes, and just lock them there! she was so scared and i tried my hardest to calm her down, but i can't imagine how she felt, and i can't begin to think of what to say to her? the ambulance ride to the hospital seemed like an eternity!!

I used to work in a hospital and I had some of the worst experiences like that! Especially when I was pregnant! Thats one of the bad things about working in healthcare . . . you know TOO MUCH. Unfortunatly you have to learn how to shut yourself down emotionally and its hard :( Im sorry you had to go through that.

oh my god... that's awful... is that really what happens when you have a miscarriage at this point?? yikes!!! Did she call 911?? was she home alone?? so sad........ My husband has that fainting disorder (I can't think of what it's called but he faints really easily; especially at the sight of blood).... If this happened to me FOR SURE I'd have to call 911... he'd be passed out in the hallway and I'd be in the tub........ wow
