13-6-2009 - One Year Later...

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

One year ago today at almost this exact time I walked into my doctor's office. I laid there on the bed, the doctor ran that doppler over my belly and he didn't hear anything. He made me move to the next room over and did an internal sono. I remember him not letting me see the screen, I tried. He just said "I'll show you in a minute." and then he told me the worst news of my entire life, "I'm sorry but your baby's heart stopped....."

And that's where my journey began. The grief that I went through was deeper than I ever could have imagined.

Dakota has taught me a lot: Just cause you don't have a baby to hold, doesnt mean your not a mother. Life is too short, say exactly what you want to say. I'm a lot stronger than I ever imagined I could ever be. You find out who your REAL friends (and family) are when you go through a crisis.

Thank you all who have been my shoulders to cry on this past year. I've met some of you because of my loss and I'm thankful every single of you, more than you know...

again, i am sorry for your loss. i still morn over my angels, but like you said, you are stronger person because of it. I pray that God will send you a baby for you to love and hold.
