16-2-2012 - Getting impatient

My mood while writing this blog: ok

Ok so I know I'm 38 weeks and about 4 days today. I went for another ultrasound 2 days ago to check amniotic fluids again (cuz they thought I was leaking) and babies position, because they thought he might be breech now.

Yesterday had routine doctors appointment though and baby is head down and completly engaged they said. Fluid levels were perfect, in fact I have extra at 13..5mg and I think normal is up to 12 usualy, but it's still considered normal to 18mg. So doctor says if there was a leak it repaired itself and there was plenty of fluid to spare.

Otherwise I've been losing my mucus plug for the last week I would say now in bits (sorry if tmi), and doc also said the ultrasound showed my cervix was nice and short, 100% effaced! I asked if he could tell from the ultrasound how dilated I am, but he said he can't and he doesn't like to check as it's too much risk of infection. I see a different maternity doctor every week though so I'll just ask the new one next week. I'm hoping he'll sweep my membranes next appointment too, as starting tomorrow I'm on reading week for school so I need to have this baby before the end of the weekend preferably. ha ha ha .

I'm so worried that he's going to wait till his due date on the 28th and I go back to school then after my week break so go back to school just to take another week off!!! That would be really hard, so I have to start trying to get ahead in everything just in case, so I'm prepared for that.

Anyways that's all I have to say for now, hopefully I wont talk to any of you now till I go into labour this weekend, please!!! Wish for it!! LoL
