16-8-2008 - Joeys 2nd month!

My mood while writing this blog: blessed

So Joey was 2 months on August 5th. Of course we went in for his 2 month check up which means one stupid thing - SHOTS! I was sad because my husband found out a couple of days before his appt that he had to work that day. So that meant it was me and Joey going to that dreaded appt together!! He cried his little heart out. It breaks my heart when he does his lip quivering, I'm so sad thing. I got chocked up, but knew I had to just comfort him. We got all 4 shots and then the oral vaccine at once to just get it over with. He did amazingly well with them, he slept a lot that day and the day after. He didn't get cranky or develop a fever. I was proud of my boy!

The weeks leading up to that appt went fabulous! He is such a little ham. His best friends are all of the ceiling fans. He will talk, smile, and laugh at them all of the time. It is so cute. He loves talking. I can't wait for actual words to start! He is going to be a talkative little boy, just like his mommy! He is growing so big and doing so many fun things. He LOVES playing in his swing, his bouncy seat, his gym mat, and looking in his mirror. He has also finally realized mobiles and toys hanging in front of him. He sits in his carseat and will entertain himself by talking to his hanging frog. I try to switch the toy every week so he doesn't get bored!

We also had to change his formula this month. He was presenting some serious gas problems, he would wake up from a dead sleep and start crying his heart out. It was so sad! We changed him over to the Enfamil Gentlease and wow what a difference! I am so happy we did that. He has also been taking 5 oz every 3-5 hours, and still sleeping through the night. We have a great routine every night and I think that helps my little guy.

Daddy and I are both enjoying our little guy more and more each day. I never thought a love like this exsisted (hey, isn't that a song lol) and am so amazed. He is def. a mommys boy (o:

11LBS 3OZs and 24.5" long!

His weight is the 50th percintile, his head is the 40th, and his lenght is the 95th percintile!
