| 29-7-2009 - 11 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Feeling better |
Hi everyone, just checking in.
I'm 11 weeks now! Time is flying by. I'm not so tired during the day anymore but my sickness has been so much better in the last week or so, and I really only feel sick now at night times, when my stomach is hugely bloated and I look like I'm due! Not a good look at 11 weeks! However, I'm not too concerned cause my sister in law says the same thing happens to her. I am more concerned that my bbs are turning into a pair of udders lol! Honestly the shape of them in the morning when I wake up really worries me. The have become conical, a bit like Madonna's pointy bra from years ago. I don't think it's an attractive look, but I think it looks worse when you are looking down on them. I feel very crampy this week, so I think I'm growing inside. Can't believe I'm nearly at the twelve week mark. I am actually quite relaxed and don't really think much about being pregnant. My boss asked me when I was thinking of finishing up for maternity leave, and I had a brief moment of confusion, and wanted to ask 'why are you asking me that'? Oh and someone offered to sell me their pram too. I'm like no thanks, I don't need a pram! My concern is that I tried so much not to become attached in the early weeks, that I think I've been too successful and don't believe I'm actually having a baby.
I'm not actually feeling too great tonight. I was out for the day to the Science Centre (an exhibition in Glasgow) today with the work and I had to sit in a Planetarium with loads of other people this afternoon, in the dark looking above us at the stars on the ceiling. I felt so sick, possibly because being in the dark heightened my other senses, and I suddenly became aware of all the men smells in the room i.e. deoderant, smelly teenagers, smelly clothing lol I'm sure they weren't really it's just my crazy nose, but I felt so sick. I got a wet wipe out of my bag, and placed it over my nose and mouth and breathed in lemon fragrance until I could get out of there. I really am a crazy pregnant lady! I got home about 3pm and slept for 3 hours! I was so tired. Doing anything out of the ordinary seems to knock me on my back at the moment.
So that's my catch up. Week tomorrow I get my booking in scan at the hospital. I'm looking forward to that one, and seeing the baby again. I'm sure there will be a huge difference from 10 weeks to 12 weeks.
I hope everyone else is doing great, and not feeling too sick, too tired, or too fed up with ttc.
