| 21-10-2009 - 23 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:My mind is boggling |
Been a good week this week. Lots of increased movement, and I can definitely see the baby moving now. Just wee taps still, but showing on the outside of my stomach for definite. Been off work this week because I've not been feeling so good. We went away at the weekend and I've not been great since I got back. Thinking of going back to work tomorrow though.
Only fly in my ointment just now is this swine flu jab. In Scotland today the immunisation programme begins. It starts with social care workers etc, and then will move onto high risk, i.e. pregnant women. I'm so upset by all of this. For every point they convince me to get it with, they then give another that puts me off. But I am starting to think I don't have a choice. It feels like they are asking me to choose between my health and the baby's health. It's an awful decision to have to make. A health worker said on the news tonight that the worst cases in pregnant woman are in the third trimester, which I'm not far off of. She said she was taking it for that reason. What to do?
I've also been starving this week! I'm trying to fill up on fruit etc, but I am looking for sweet things, which I don't usually do. Control, control, control....
Midwife appointment on November 3rd, which still seems a long way away. And eight weeks on Friday I finish up for maternity leave. Can't come soon enough for me.
Hope everyone is feeling good this week, and looking after themselves.
