15-4-2009 - Lordy, Lordy Pregnant and 40

I found out I was pregnant at 15 weeks. Long story which included periods during first 2 months, etc. Unplanned pregnancy for me and my husband and he isn't excited at all about it as our youngest will be turning 17 years old in September. My due date is September 16, 2009 and it seems like I just found out and already I am half way through my pregnancy just about. Everything is going fast, but I'm excited about this surprise in my as they call it "late maternal age". I have a friend 32 years old and she and her husband have been trying to conceive for years, they've decided to try in vitro after trying insemination for the past year now cause they still haven't had any success. So me, without even trying popped up preggers, so I know this is a blessing. Babies always are no matter how bad the situation. Its the idiots involved that are the parents with the problems. So pregnancy is really weird this time as I'm no spring chicken. Luckily I'm in good shape (for now). I am actually 41 and will be 42 in June of this year, so although I am considered old, obviously my uterus isn't. I really want a boy (shhhh! thats between us) But, if its a girl, I won't be disappointed. I want a healthy baby most of all. Lordy, Lordy the lord has blessed me with a baby at 41. He sure works in mysterious ways.

Congratulations, I thought my age gap of 8 years was BIG!!! Like you My pregnancy was also a huge suprise and is taking a lot of getting used to, especially my huuby who likes to constantly remind me that he did not ask for this baby so I should not expect too much from him!! Like I did!! Dont you just love men. ;)
