BOY. I went for my amnio yesterday which was a little painful. I was very scared and wished my husband could have been there, but my daughter came for support. It lasted very briefly thank God. I was however able to find out the sex of the baby during the time they probed looking for a pocket. Woo Hoo!!! its a beautiful boy. He was quite content sleeping and did not want to move, but still we got a glance of the family jewels. My son predicted a boy, and is quite happy even though he says he'll be 34 yrs old by the time the baby is his age. (smart ass). Hopefully the amnio results will all be good. Being over 40 is a concern, but otherwise, all of my other tests have come back fine. Nothing else detects any abnormalities. Just because I'm over 40 there is a risk for down syndrome and some other things, so amnios are often done for women of my "late maternal age" as they call it. When I told my husband, he finally sounded a tiny bit happy, probably cause its a boy and men are always excited about sons. Wonder if he'd still be in a negative mood if he found out it was a girl. Anyway, I would have been happy no matter what sex it was, as long as the baby is healthy. I already have two girls and a boy, so now I'll have two of both. How perfect is that. I already had a name picked out and everything for a boy. I've decided on the name Aaden/Aidan. My mom says people will think he's white because of his name, but I don't care. She suggested some Arabic names, but they went out of style in the 1980s. I'm so sick of them. I think Aaden/Aidan is a great name, and no matter what people mistake or think he is, he'll be a human being and my baby foremost.
