I am not looking forward to handing my baby over to anyone this time around. I am actually unemployed and took some money out of my 401k to be able to stay home until the baby is at least 6 months because my unemployment will be running out before I actually have the baby. Even though my sister and almost everyone of my neighbors have volunteered to baby sit for me, I just am having a hard time with that idea. I didn't go back to work until my now 16 year old was 3 years old. My sister has a 2 year old whom is still breast feeding and very spoiled and I really don't want to leave the baby with her either. Though I'd prefer her over a stranger, I'm having the delimna most working mothers have. Who, What, When and Where to have my baby cared for when I return to work. It may be premature, but it is an issue I am prolonging having to decide as long as I can. He isn't hear yet, and I really don't want him bonding with any other women but me. Call me selfish, but that is really my biggest issue, after safety that is.

I hear you. I have began looking into daycare centers, but haven't liked any of them and they are soooo expensive $400/wk here in MD. I will be home for 3 months and my husband will take off 3 months after me. Then we are considering me working and alternative work schedule. Or even the possibility of me going back parttime. So that we can rotate. We don't have any family here everyone is in NY. We are also considering sending for someone to come down a day or two and paying there airfare which is cheaper than childcare down here. If we do childcare it will only be parttime fri and possibly mon. - i am a little stressed. No pediatrician yet, no childcare, and haven't found a crib yet. I think I am getting a bit nervous. I have been given alot of items - I feel truly blessed. Swing,carseat/stroller/bouncer/wipe warmer, monitor, baby clothes, formula and pampers. Well enough of my complaining and going off on a tangent. Wishing everyone and babies well. Thanks for listening.
