27-8-2009 - 3cm Dialated and 60% Effaced Yippeeee!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

So I had my doctor's appointment and he checked me and told me he could feel the baby's head. He said I was 3 cm dialated and 60% effaced. We kept my 9/9/09 induction date, but he said he doubted I'd make it til then. But, if I did, it would be a much quicker labor since I had already started dialating. They'd plan to give me something to soften my cervix the night before then induce me the next morning. But that cervix softening will probably not be necessary now.

Needless to say I'm so amped. I know some women say they've been at 3-4 cm dialted for weeks, but I really don't believe that will be the case with me. I usually deliver between 37 and 38 weeks. The only bad thing about that is my baby shower was scheduled for next weekend (9/5/09) and that is cutting it too close to say the least. If I hold out til then I will be surprised. Heck if I make it through this weekend I will be shocked. So hopefully next week around this time I will be holding my little boy.
