09-9-2008 - Dr's visit- ultrasound @ 7 wks

Ok so we went to the dr's today and I finally got to see my OBGYN dr since I found out I was pregnant. needless to say he was overjoyed to see me coming back to his office being pregnant. last time i saw him i was m/c in april. I told him my LMP and he kept saying are you sure? Im like yeah, Im 7 weeks today, and im due april 28th 2009. he kept smiling and he said you seem to know this stuff. Im like yeah i've been trying for almost 4 months so i got it down pat. well we did the transvaginal u/s and guess what I saw the baby and even better I got to hear that precious heartbeat of 133 bpm. The dr said the baby measures up to my LMP (i told him that I was sure of the date) and i am def 7 weeks preg, and the baby is exactly where he or she needs to be and the baby has a really good heartbeat. my husband and i just both started crying. last time we were having a u/s when we m/c in april we couldnt even really see a sac or anything. this time we saw it all!!! only thing is this UTI is still kicking me. he put me on another set of antibiotics (macrobid- the one i was on for the first dose before the other 2 i took) and had me take another urine culture. errrrr i hate that i cant get rid of this thing. but my dr said something stranger, he thinks that i can have the symptoms of UTI but not the actual infection. Im thinking well the nurse checked my urine and said that i had it, but the culture i took 2 weeks ago didnt show it. Then we figured out why they couldnt find it. at the time i took the culture i was on macrobid when i took the test 2 wks ago and just maybe it was not letting it show or something b/c the meds i was on. I dont know and i really could care less. im just so dang happy that i got to see my baby and hear his or her little heartbeat. I didnt JUST hear it I saw it. I saw that little thumping right on the screen; im crying now just thinking about how precious it looked there on the screen letting me know that everything was just fine and i no longer needed to worry anymore. well im taking my new set of antibiotics. i was concerned about taking so much thinking it was killing my immune system or harming my baby. but i trust my dr and i know that everything will be ok and i go back in 4 weeks. The nurse gave me 2 pics of the u/s and i have them posted up proudly. yeah!!

I am so happy for you and I will be there with you shortly. I went to my dr yesterday and he said that the baby stopped growing after 4 weeks and it was just a sac so no baby inside really. I'm fine and much baby dust to you :-)

oh I'm so so happy for you and your husband!! What a wonder day you had. I'm sure it's a relief seeing your baby for the first time and also to know it is ok : ) Enjoy your pregnancy and I hope to see pics of your little bean soon!!!!! congrats again : )
