08-4-2009 - 37 wks doctors appt

Ok so I went to my 37 weeks appt. I've been having some serious back pains and BAD contractions over the weekend. I just knew that I progressed more with the pains I've been going through. At 35 weeks I was at a "1" and 36 weeks I was at a "2". Well today after him reaching so far in me that I can feel his hand in my throat (lol) Im almost a full "3" YEAH!!! 60% effacement. He said to see him in a week if I haven't already had her by then. Well I want only him to deliver so she better wait till he's on call. He promised to induce me at 38 wks ONLY if im at a 3 and 75% effacement. Which I will be next week! So with the way that I've been progressing I may be at a 4 by tuesday, lol. Luckily a friend of mine works in the pharmacy at the hosp and she has full access to the dr's schedule to whose on call for what night, It may be a bad thing but she's getting me that schedule so I will know what night to TRY (lol) to hold her in and what days to work on trying to bring the labor on. If I know a specific night he's working I just may walk like crazy & sex it up to get the labor going. I was sooooooo sore after the exam and I have been having major mucus discharging and bad contractions. I wonder if he done something to help the labor process. I cant believe that I will be holding my baby next week. OMG I am so excited!

Lucky you. I'm going to be 41 weeks on Monday and no plans for me yet. The very best of Luck to you for next week when you get to hold your precious duaghter. I'll say a prayer that everything goes perfectly for you. good luck pal xxx

Yay!!! You make me want another baby!!! :) Hows your son doing? My son got in major trouble today. Sometimes I just shake my head because I am at a complete loss of what to do...... Anyways, good luck!! Hope you are having a baby soon!!!!!!

Oh yeah, if you need to slow labor down so your doc is on call, take a warm bath. When I was in labor with my first son, my lower back was killing me so I took a bath at the hospital. The contractions virtually stopped while I was in there and it was so relaxing. Anyways, hope your doc is on call when you deliver and I share in your excitement that soon I will be holding my little one!

See and you were jealous of me. you are doing just fine. Guess we will both be talking about our birth stories next week. I can't wait til Tuesday, I feel like it is months away lol. I wanna get this pregnancy thing over with already. I am so ready!
