My mood while writing this blog: Concerned |
Well JoAnn's been a little fussy over the weekend. It all started friday night when she threw up. She hardly ever spits up. Well friday night after drinking 3 oz's of her milk, she threw up like the exorcist. So this weekend she's been very gassy, eating less then she normally does, her body been feeling very warm, and just been very cranky. So I took her to the dr not knowing if it may be her ears or something. Not to mention it seems as if everyone in my family is sick right now. My husband, my dad and my niece are all sick. So Im thinking if she's not sick right now, im thinking in bout a week she will be. So we go to the doctors to get her looked at.We weighed her and OMG her not wanting to eat this weekend probably helped her. She is now weighing 11.4 lbs. She has gained exactly 4 lbs in just 6 weeks. We left the hospital and she weighed 7.4 and that was only 6 wks ago. So now the dr has doubled up on her zantac meds b/c he thinks that she is wanting to eat more b/c she is not being satisfied due to the reflux. He also thinks that her exorcist demostration friday night has irritated her esophagus to where she has been fussy. So last night she finally goes to sleep after 3:30 and I had to wake up at 7 for work. Just great. So Im totally exhausted and thankfully my DH will be off tomorrow. So guess who will be staying up with her tonight? For some odd reason the nights he gets up with her she sleeps through them. The nights I get up with her, she gets up very frequently. Imagine that! So the dr says she is ok right now on her weight but we need to keep an eye on it. He's like, amber, you came and seen me 10 days ago. Do you realize she's gained 24 oz's in just 10 days? Do you know that she has gained 2 1/2 ozs a day since you last seen me? Im like ummm, I know now. Ha!! B/C 10 days ago she was weighing 9.14 and today is now 11.4 but what can I say, she is a growing girl. Im just glad to know she is doing better, but I am keeping an eye on her temp due to all the sickness going on.

Monday, 1 Jun The Gastro drs have told me when they get sick with a cold or like that, that it often aggrovates their reflux. So maybe she is at the start of being sick. I hope she feels better soon. My kids were on reflux meds till at least 2yrs of age. We took my DD off at 1 year and she got pneumonia so be careful of that.
