22-7-2009 - My husband total his truck sunday

My mood while writing this blog:
scared & terrified

Im so blessed that god was watching over my husband sunday. I almost lost a piece of me and I am so thankful that aaron is safe. Sunday morning @ 7:45 am aaron was on his way to work. He was driving down a long dreadful hwy on his normal 30 minute drive to work. He fell asleep at the wheel and veered off to the right and thats when he woke up. He tried to get his truck back on the road and thats when he went to the left side of the road and went down into a ditch and drove about 10 ft when he tried to get truck back on the road he hit a concrete drain and thats when he airborned about 15 -20 feet and was up over 5 -6 ft off the ground and flew into a tree. What saved him was he wasn't wearing his seat belt b/c it through him into the passenger seat which at that point a tree went through the back drivers extended cab window and went through the drivers seat. His air bags DID NOT deploy and i was very upset (at first) and then it was pointed out that if they were deployed it would have shoved that tree through his head, I've never been so scared in my life and did 90 + getting there when i heard the news. I've cried and literally had a mental break down when they pulled the truck out. The pictures im posting doesnt show just how bad it really was. The police have no idea how he walked away but I do, God was watching over him. He's ok , really shaken up, nasty knots on his head and bruises and cuts on his forehead and arms. A really bad bruise and gash on his forehead. I love him so much. It wouldnt work me pasting photos so i just added them to my profile if you want to see the damage

I felt sick looking at the picture of the truck knowing what happened. Thank God it all turned out ok. It seems like God has a plan for him since the fates alligned to protect him!

Oh my gosh, that is sooo good that God was watching over him for sure, I'm so glad he is ok after what sounds like a very bad accident!
