My mood while writing this blog: excited about JoAnns progress |
Thursday Sept 24th was JoAnn's dr visit. She was 5 months and 4 days old. She was getting her 4 months shots but had to wait on them b/c she had the flu so she was getting them at 5 months. First of all she got weighed and she weighs 17.13 lbs. OMG- 3 oz's from being 18 lbs. She is still 25 inch's long so of course she looks like a chunker. She is doing so many things. She rolls over from her back to her front and then started rolling from her front to her back. She is holding her held up so well when she is on her tummy. She is starting to scoot and it's so adorable. So we're on our way to the dr's and I heard on the radio they were having a pageant at our mall. We already have plans on attending a pageant next month oct 16 in griffin ga for breast cancer awareness (which is for an awesome worthy cause) but I thought here is one right in our town lets just go and see how we do. Well she did good with her shots so we gave it a try. She did great until it was time to walk on stage. She automatically wanted to go to sleep and was so fussy. Well she did get a metal for best attire and she got runner up. I was so proud of her. Crying on stage and still got runner up. What a trooper. So once we left she fell asleep and slept for the rest of the night. Runner up paid for her 250 entry fee for the pageant that will be held in atlanta ga. I'm not going to the next level b/c this pageant was just for fun. The one we're going to next month, the proceeds go to a worthy cause. Then the following month we're having a pageant in our town and the money goes towards feeding the needy. So as long as it's for something worthy and it's just for fun. I don't mind having her enter. I refuse to be one of those moms that go overboard with the pageant for their kids. Im just happy to participate in something that can help someone else. She is starting to laugh out loud more. She is now doing the cry i want to be picked up. She, sometimes, crys if you sit and stops when you stand type thing. I told my husband he better stop with that mess b/c thats spoling her. Her cry has changed and its much louder and more vocal (almost sounds kind of fake, lol) She reaches her arms out for you to pick her up and it's so cute. She makes my heart melt and my face brighten up. I love my little princess!
