ok so this is kind of a rant

A town 40mins from us is holding a cutest baby competion and we decided it would be nice to enter gemma in it so i ring up where it is and find out that its $10 for the photo and entry and they donate that $10 to can assist ( a kids cancer charity) i thought that was great :)

i was getting all excited about the whole thing but forgot to ask how do ppl vote, so after a quick phone call we hear that they way the voting is worked is that u have to go into the office and pay $1 per vote and the baby with the most votes wins

we are so shocked because to put it simpler

THE PARENTS/FAMILY WHO HAVE THE MOST MONEY WIN

now how is this a cutest baby competition if the judging is voted on how much money ppl pay to vote it has nothing to do with how cute the baby is, i am so angry and very dissapointed, i already know my daughter is cute i dont have to pay $1 for every vote arrggghhh

we decided not to enter gemma in it as there is a lot of rich ppl in this town who will gladly pay thousands for there baby to win, so gemma would would have no chance, we aint rich we dont have $30 for the fuel to get there then 100s of dollars to vote

i wouldnt even have minded if the money went to kids with cancer but the voting money dosnt, it just seems to wrong to me that a cutest baby comp is based around who can make them more money

am i over reacting or does this seem messed up?
