yeah seriously try not to worry urself to death. ur gonna spend all ur time worrying and crying and not enough time enjoying ur daughter! i had an abnormal pap as well about 2 years ago i think it was and it was due to hpv which causes 70% of cervical cancer so i was really scared. but they did a thing where they take a little piece of ur cervix like relle tiny piece and test it for cancer but i was fine thank God. the next time i went back for a follow up pap everything was normal. so dont worry these things usually clear up on their own especially when ur young.

Don't worry too much! I had an abnormal pap after my daughter, and went back after 6 months and it was normal. My doc said it's very common during or after pregnancy!

Hun, try not to worry until you get the results for sure! Everything just may and probably will be just fine! You don't want to stress over it, its not good for you! Just relax, I know its much easier said than done! Im here if EVER you need to talk!

ya know I have heard that ALOT of women get abnormal paps right after they have a baby. I hope everything turns out ok hun. Oh on my profile pic that was my little girl on holloween. :)

I had the same thing happen at my first appointment when I became pregnant (since I was pregnant there was nothing they could do) and it also came back abnormal at my 6 week PP appointment. They took two biopsies from two different areas that had abnormal cells which both came back negative but the pap smear still came back abnormal so they highly stressed that I needed to make and show up for another appointment in 6 months. So I'm right there with ya. I try not to think about it to much, but when I do I clutch my DD close and try to think positive.

after i had riley i had an abnormal pap...my doc did a coposcoply and took the abnormal cells out. i only had one precancerouse cell. good luck hun. keep us update!

:-( sorry to hear that sort of news, i can understand why your so upset right now...but you still have to be strong and try and stay as positive as you can ! As gabemom said, she had news as that before & it ended up being something not to worry to much about ! I will be thinkin' of ya & will keep my fingers crossed that your next test results will be normal. If you feel like you need someone to chat about it or just let out your emotions, you can on me...but remember try to keep smiling..

honey if they are waiting to test you for another six months, I would not worry. Not that it is not serious. Six years ago I had abnormal cells what they call ASCUS (Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance) he did a colposcopy ( burned off the cells and I haven't had an abnormal one since and I go every year. He said Bacterial Vaginosis can cause it. I pray that you are okay but try not to worry. If you are finding yourself worrying, pray then call the doctor and let them know you are worried and what does the results really mean and why are they waiting six months.

I seen my doc today and got the results of my pap smear that had 2 weeks ago and it was not good at all, i have a few abnormal cells and have to go back in 6 months for another test and im so scared
all i keep thinking is that i gave birth to a beautifull baby girl that now im never going to see her grow up everytime i look at her i think about it and just cry
im am so miserable right now and im crying non stop, i dont know what to do or think all i know is that im so frightened right now
all i keep thinking is im gonna die :(
