My mood while writing this blog: happy and sad |
So as most of you have probably just read I had my u/s today and thankfully it went well. Although we were 40 minutes late being seen so my bladder was too full and I had to keep going to empty it, lol.
Was so nice to see the LO bouncing away and the nuchal fold measurement was only 1.1mm so hopefully the DS risk will be low. I also got moved up 5 days which is always good :)
Sadly we just got the news we were dreading about my MIL, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer at 48. She is going back to hospital for an MRI on monday and will go to discuss treatment on the thursday...
Hopefully it will be easily treatable.. I'm one of the lucky ones who has a wonderful set of in-laws :)
Love Jayne xx

Monday, 4 Jan such contrasting news i am both happy and sad for you. you appear very strong with what ever is thrown your way. its an enviable trait. be sure that if god puts you through it, he will get you through. take care and give LO a little rub from us! xx aussiegirl80 -
Monday, 4 Jan That's a great measurement! My baby's was 1.9mm (I was a little worried about that) and I came back with a background risk of 1:745 and the adjusted risk after the ultrasound and blood tests was 1:14250! I think that with your measurement you will be low risk for down's!I really hope that your MIL's breast cancer can be treated successfully, I hear that there are a lot of treatments available now to help beat it, she will be in my thoughts. missing*my*2angels -
Monday, 4 Jan Good news about the baby but am very sorry about the news on your MIL, everything should turn out fine she needs to keep reminded that being positive helps alot with the treatment, i say this cause my MIL went is a Breast Cancer survivor and so far it hasn't returned it been a little over 5 years now. butterfly-angel -
