28-1-2010 - What a month!!

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing ok. I've had no internet access for the last week so apologies for all the blogs I haven't read/responded to.

So far this month has been pretty crap!

My mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of January so the doctors did a CT scan and an MRI and discovered problems with her liver and ovaries. She is still waiting on test results but basically they are going to remove her breast and possibly her ovaries if they definitely find cancer in them but unfortunately the liver isn't so 'simple'. If there is cancer in it she will need a transplant... We all have our fingers crossed that won't have to happen.

Last tuesday we got the sad news that BF's grandad had died and then 12 hours later my Grandad died...

So I have been up in Scotland for the last week for the funeral.

This meant that we had to reschedule the heart scan on this baby as it was meant to be on Wednesday but that was the day of the funeral so we now have it on tuesday. This is also the day my MIL gets her liver scan results!

So far everything seems ok with baby, I am getting some movement and apart from being tired and super hungry, lol, I mostly feel ok.

Will blog again next week - hopefully with good news from the heart scan. We could be doing with some good news...

Oh my goodness Jayne. That is a horrid month indeed. I am so incredibly sorry for the grand father's passing away. My condolences to you and your family. I am also very sad to hear about your mom. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer this week. It does not seem aggresive or that it has spread, but we will only know for sure once my dad has seen the oncologist and urologist next week again. Know that my thoughts are with you. I have been thinking of you of late and checked in the other day to hear how you are doing. Now I know why. I hope with every ounce of my heart that next weeks scan will just be picture perfect and show your bouncy baby in excellent health.
