My mood while writing this blog: happy |
Hi Girls,
Hope everyone is doing ok.
So today I am 19 weeks! Hopefully almost halfway through... Although I keep thinking at this point in my last pregnancy I only had 19 days left with Finley. Fingers crossed everything will be ok this time.
I'm getting a fair amount of kicks now, although it varies from day to day. I found out this morning at 4am that the baby is pretty active then, lol. Although I'd rather have been asleep at that point.. Sometimes I can feel the baby rolling around too :) No baby bump yet but I guess thats what happens when you have a belly to start with. My bump never popped out with Finley so I am really looking forward to that happening this time.
On a sadder note.. my mother in law got her results back from all the tests she has been having. We already knew she had breast cancer but she has been diagnosed with secondary cancer in the liver. Her doctors are hoping that the chemo will shrink the liver cancer as well as the lump in her breast but she has been told that if this happens it will eventually come back. They have told her about some new treatments they are trying but none of them have been succesful yet... My hope is that they can shrink the liver cancer enough to keep it at bay for a while and hopefully give her a few years. She is 48.
Jayne xx

Wednesday, 17 Feb Hello Jayne, I'm so sorry to hear the news about your MIL. Your partner and you must be so sad. Fingers crossed that they can offer her some treatment that might improve her chances. Cancer is such an awful disease and never makes any sense. xx I can't believe you are 19 weeks along honey, this is such good news. Seems to me to be flying along. I was just reading my blogs around about 20 weeks time and noticed on my 22 week one I talk about my belly starting to get in the way. I also had a belly to start off with but I'm talking about people wanting to touch me, so I must have started to show a wee bit, so just give it a few more weeks and hopefully you'll start to see your wee bump. I appreciate how difficult this must be for you, waiting to get by this milestone time when you lost Finley. Take it easy in the meantime. xx firstmommy08 -

Wednesday, 17 Feb WOOOOHOOOOO for 19 weeks. Glad your little one is making him/herself known. Totally understand the worry about what the next few weeks will reveal. I do believe with all my heart that it will be good news and that you will be rubbing a perfect baby bump soon. Sorry to hear about your MIL. That is sad news indeed and I will pray with you that the chemo will do the trick. *big hug for the worry and another huge one for the sad news on MIL* - L aussiegirl80 -
