03-4-2008 - 10 week update

April 2nd, 2008--

Had a doctor's appt. today. I've made it to 10 weeks!!! The main objective of this visit was to confirm whether I was carrying two babies or not. (If you aren't familiar with my situation, be sure to read the past updates). Well...doc is convinced that unless I have a second uterus (his words...funny guy) I am only carrying one baby at this time. He said most likely the other became a vanishing twin. I didn't ask too many questions, but did confirm with him that the baby I am still carrying is doing well. Doc reassured me that the vanishing twin did not have any negative effect on the little one I am still carrying. Oh...also....baby measures 10 weeks (just right) but doc moved my due date back ONE DAY to Oct. 29th. I am still 10 weeks, though!!!

All recent test results were normal except for my pap. For some reason my pap came back abnormal, but doc said not to worry AT ALL and that he'd repeat the test when I am 5 months along and we'd go from there. I have never had an abnormal pap in my 14 years of having the test.
