12 week update
The exhaustion I felt the last couple weeks has subsided a bit. I still need an afternoon nap (or at least a couple hours off my feet). I have been dealing with an obsession with what NOT to eat during pregnancy. I am avoiding caffeine, raw meat and eggs, seafood (I hate it anyway), processed meats (especially pork...like hot dogs, etc.), and all OTC meds (even Tylenol). I am wondering whether I can eat a brownie or two (that just came out of the oven) because chocolate has caffeine in it!!! Ahhh.....being a bit obsessive-compulsive tends to wear me out sometimes!!
Baby seems to be doing real well. I just have that "gut" feeling that everything is going well AND that baby is a BOY! I am in love with the doppler I rented and use it to hear baby twice a day. Baby's heart rate is ALWAYS between 160 and 168. I know wive's tales would say that baby is gonna be a girl, but momma thinks baby is a boy!! We shall see!!
I am currently taking a prenatal vitamin, 1000 mg calcium (2 Viactiv chews a day), 1 DHA Lipil, 1 baby aspirin, and 200 mg progesterone daily. Doc may stop the progesterone at next weeks appt., but he says I will stay on everything else until baby is born.
On to the second trimester next week!!
