01-8-2008 - 4D Ultrasound

My mood while writing this blog: Elated

Today we had our much anticipated 4D ultrasound!! I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and was told it was the beginning of the "good time" to do the scan as baby has gained a bit of fat, etc. Best time to have this type of scan is 30+ weeks from what I hear....anyway...

The place was very nice, clean and quiet. My husband and I decided to take the three kids along as well so they could get to see baby Sidney!

When the scan first began, the tech was immediately able to confirm for us that baby was in fact a GIRL. Good thing since I have hundreds of pink clothes already...ranging in size from 0-12 months! Next thing she told me was that Sidney was facing my back and making it difficult to get good pics. So...I got up and walked around for a bit and got on all fours and tried and tried to get her to turn, but nope! Not having it. She was comfy where she was. So...we did our best with what we could see.

Her heartbeat was 140 and her head was down. She has all her parts and everything looks beautiful...she even has a bit of hair on her head!!! I wasn't able to decide who she looks more like, but I am sure I will have plenty of time to make that decision once I am able to hold her and look into her eyes!

Great experience and well worth the money.
