29-8-2008 - Men! What are they thinking?

"OH OH OH OH AH AH OH AHHHHH! Scott come here." That’s what happened tonight. During this past week, the newest development has been that I have felt pressure on my nerves in my right leg. The pressure (pain) does not last long and is quickly overcome, usually. Tonight was the first time the pressure occurred in my left leg, and it was painful and paralyzing. I had just entered the bathroom when suddenly I couldn’t move my left leg and I was in tremendous pain. I started saying Ohs and Ahs and trying to get Miss Pretty off the nerve, but I was nearly helpless because to alleviate the pain, I had to do a backbend over the bathroom sink. When I could do no more, I called Scott. MEN! He asked, "Do I have to come there?" (He was eating and watching a movie.) You know my answer, and I’m surprised I said it nicely and meekly. He jostled her around until she moved off my nerve, and I was able to walk without pain again. Later, I told him, "I don’t know of any nice way to say this, but if you ever hear me Ohing and Ahing for a while and then I call for you, don’t ever ask if you have to come." The answer, Dude, is "STRAIGHT AWAY!".
