23-4-2009 - more teeth and a growth spurt

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Ada slept from 6:30 p.m. last night until I woke her up at 7:30 a.m. this morning. Heaven, I tell you. Heaven! She normally gets up around 6:-6:30 a.m. and goes down at 6:45 to 7:00. I checked on her to make sure she was alive when she didn't wake me at 6:30. I crawled out of the bed at 7:18, fixed her bottle, grabbed a bowl of cereal, and quickly checked 3 websites before going back in at 7:30 to get her out of the bed. The day before, she slept 2 1/2 hours for a nap. She hasn't done that in a couple months.

Yesterday, Scott and I noticed that she has more teeth coming in, probably two on the top. We looked this morning, and they had not quite broken the surface. Maybe this is what is making her so sleepy for the last two days, or maybe it's a growth spurt.

We have a furniture store that has a huge carousel. Yesterday we went, and she was mesmerized by the horses bobbing up and down. At the end of the ride, she grinned big. She played with a balloon and climbed on furniture, too.

We spend more time outside now that the weather is just right--warmer in the mornings and not too hot during the day. In fact, the only time we spend inside is when we have things to do, i.e. load the dishwasher, vacuum, etc. I love it because she had become extremely bored with our walls and floors and furniture. She whines a lot less when we are outside. In fact, she doesn't whine at all. Hooray for good weather!
