| 31-3-2009 - UPDATE ~Week 29 | My mood while writing this blog:mixed feelings... |
Emotionally: ok so lately I've been emotional and feeling like I'm not getting enough attention regarding our pregnancy from my hubby. Ok My husband has never cared about my belly I really don't think he is that interested in the fact that his son is living under that skin and suirming around in there, It's neat b/c you can set things on it and he kicks it, If I sit my arms on my belly my little baby will kick it as if to say "Hey... you're squishing me!" This is amazing!!! I am already communicating with my baby!!! I feel like my husband doesn't seem to care about the baby but it could all be hormoes b/c he's planning on painting the baby's room this weekend, he bought him an outfit too and he also bought us a glider so we could rock the baby in at night. I think it is just my stupid hormones making me sad. I cry and think about things, when I'm driving from patient to patients house and listening to the radio... I should really start listening to radio classics on sirius b/c it's like old timey drama and maybe I wouldn't be so emotionally charged by the music's -I mean even pop songs can make me cry lately.
Physically: Took recent belly pics in my maternity dress. I will wear it with a different ribbon on the day of my baby shower.. I'm so looking forward to that. I am having some round ligament pain and sometimes it makes it hard to walk, (I bought a belly band / thing that holds it up so I feel like less is weighing down on me but it wort of squishes my bladder after a while and then I have to take it off. Occaisional constipation, aided, by cutting out caffeine and drinking more water, and.. the worse symptom of all is my heart burn which just started this past month pretty bad if I bend over to pick something up or anything like that it gets so bad sometimes my stomach hurts really bad and the acid goes up my esophagus and burns then I start to cough , I think b/c the acid gets to my wind pipe. anyone else have this problem??? TUMS help temporarily for about an hour or so. but I'm watching my intake of those, I use them only when the heart burn is so bad it makes me want to cry. I would love to take a prilosec but, I will have to ask my Dr about that. The weight is about 128lbs now, I can honestly say I have way less energy than I did when I was preggers with my daughter 7 years ago, but I feel better pregnant with this baby boy.
Baby preparation: Ok So this past weekend, I started a lot of preparation for our new baby human... My best friend started planning my baby shower which will be May 9th at Trinity Hall in Dallas, in Mockingbird Station. The food there is so good, and it is a Restaurant/ Irish Pub/ sports grill, so you can see anyone from mothers with their infants there to die hard cricket fans drinking beers at the bar. It may be outside on the terrace if it is nice, I am excited.
We moved my daughter out of her room which happens to be the closest room to our room, and I can't see walking across the house to tend to an infant every night for a year so we moved her to the front room and painted her room a light limish pastel green to match her pink and lime garden bedding, it was fun and she is so excstatic. She loves her new room, It was hard work moving all of that stuff, I helped my husband with the furniture, he didn't want me to, but we had to get her moved. This weekend he wants to paint our nursery its a vintage light blue I love it. We are still looking for bedding to match. And have a ton of choices...I am looking online at diaper bags trying to find one that will work. Shopping for baby is so fun, but I'm torn between being frugal and thrifty. I went to Goodwill today and picked up some adorable baby clothes and a cute brand new blanket for only $2.00 appearantly the local department stores drop off at Goodwill they are all in the washer right now. So slowly but surely he will have everything he needs to have a good start in the world.. and it is like starting from scratch b/c My only other BOY baby is 13 years old!
I am also saving for maternity leave to pay bills while I recover after having the baby. I am looking forward to walking him in a stroller this summer. It is so nice here in Texas today it rained last night but the spring weather today is gorgeous.
Well, that's about it I think. Hope everyone is soing well, I still love coming to this website and reading how everyone is doing, and going through this major event in our lives.. bringing life to the world.
oxox,
