15-4-2009 - I found a name I LOOOOVE!!!

My mood while writing this blog:
Ok

I found it on the top 2009 baby names list but I've never met anyone with a kid with this name...

"PHOENIX" Phoenix Joel Collins

hhhmmmm kinda hard to say but I think Phoenix is a neat name. although we live in Texas and I'm not sure what the locals would think of a name like that it's different. and People around here don't all like different names and I don't want my baby to get made fun of.. so still thinking and contemplating... My husband said Joel Phoenix Collins... but no one ever knows anyones middle name. So it's not that big of a deal. Had my Dr's appt today turns out my glucose test came back satisfactory... geeze a little late notice! but atleast I found out. So that's good. She said to still avoid eating too much sugar or he could end up big. She said right now he's facing to my right hip bone and he's head down. She and I talked about birth control plans and yada yadda yadda..

I absolutely LOVE the name Phoenix! Who the heck cares if the "locals" don't like different names, screw it (we need more diversity anyways)!! I think the entire name sounds nice too! It reminds me of Joaquin Phoenix (love that name and actor haha)! Good luck on your final decision!

I love the name! I have a cat named Phoenix, and now I sooo regret naming the cat as such, as I would love to use it if I have another boy!

Good thing about your GD. For the name, I've never heard of anyone being called Pheonix so it's hard to say yes or no. To me it's a bird or a place. But there are lots of people named after these like Griffin and Dakota. I'd say it's not a bad idea at all. I do still like Joel though, after watching Jon & Kate I just loved that name more.
