My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
After I have my baby I plan on breast feeding, but I'm afraid I will have to return to work in 3 months. Must work atleast 4 days a week when the baby turns 3 or 4 months old I think I will take off on Wednesdays for Dr.'s appts and such. I am hoping to be able to breast and bottle feed (this will save us a little money on formulaif I can breast feed when I get home from work and in the am before I take him to daycare and on the weekends. I tried to do this with my daughter but I worked 12 hr shifts and was away from my baby for 14 hrs sometimes and would get terribly engorged. I'm thinking now that I'm only working 8 hrs and will only be away from him 8-9 hrs at a time I can still keep enough milk supply to BF at night and weekends and a feeding in the am and on Wednesdays when I'm off. I would so like to do this to save money, provide good nutrition for the baby and help with bonding with my baby since he will be cared for by a daycare while I'm at work and I think that skin to skin contact is important for infant bonding. Atleast I would like to try to do this until the baby is 6 months old and then I will just formula feed and start adding in a little baby food after 6/7 months old. That is my feeding plan for now but I am sure I will tweak this plan to the baby's liking, I'm not sure what he will prefer! I'm so excited about the baby!!!! I'm so NERVOUS about the delivery I just wis I could be done with the painful delivery and healing part! and get to the fun parts! I sooo cant wait to walk him in a stroller this summer! I still haven't picked out a stroller yet.
