My mood while writing this blog: annoyed |
I woke up this morning to turn off my alarm and it is very hard to roll from side to side, then I flexed my left foot to stretch a great morning wake up stretch and I was barely awake when this happened and my calf muscle stuck that way! It hurt and to wake up this way was scary. I think it may have been a charlie horse? I'm not sure though I'll have to look it up Anyway, I yelled Aaaaah! and My husband cam e into the room mad at me b/c I wasn't in labor and I was yelling about some other pain and then I was rubbing my calf and it sort of relaxed back into place. Anyway, I am not able to drink enough water b/c then I'll have to pee all day long while seeing patients and I'll never get any work done! But what ever I drank two glasses of water since waking up and taking my vitamins and eating breakfast. No more coffee and I will try to drink water where ever I can. I think if my muscle spasms that is a clear indication I need water. But the baby it just happy as pie in there doing his usual activities, I feel him squirming and jolting then slowy moving. He moves and has always moved ever time I eat or drink something. I think the noises in there from my gut must wake him up. He has good ears. Well, I better go get ready for work. .. How is everyone doing? Any uncomfortable discomforts right now? I am annoyed at being so big, it's harder to get around and do stuff.

Tuesday, 21 Apr Leg Cramps suck! And I wa getting them regularily until my doctor told me that they happen because our bodies absorb so much calcium and that it uses all the potasium to help it absorb and that is what causes the cramping. She told me to eat at least a banana a day and it will help alleviate most of it. ever since I have started doing it, I have not had any cramps! But the day that I forgot (last week some time) I did a stretch and the cramp came back. So I am always going to be stocked up on bananas! 1honeymoonbaby -

Monday, 20 Apr eat a banana before you go to bed and eat one as a snack during the day... upping my nanner intake helped my crampy legs and feet... they were awful... I'd wake up and not beable to put my foot down... walkin on my tippy toe bawlin my eyes out... but bananas help... Christine G -
Monday, 20 Apr I know just what you mean! If I point my toe to stretch my legs I most likely will get a Charlie Horse! It hurts sooo much! I had never gotten them before a couple months ago. Now I'll conciously stretch my leg by pointing my toes towards myself. I drink PLENTY of water through the day, so I don't think it's cause I'm not drinking enough. Anywho, discomforts are mostly moving in bed, getting up from the couch, car, bed, etc. Getting a lot harder! ChinaPeach -
Monday, 20 Apr yep that be those leg cramps/ charlie horses everyone talks about.. very painful for a few seconds( feels like longer when they are happening) mine even keep me limping for a few days the muscles tenses so badly..
it was nice you had someone to massage it out for you.. i always scream in pain too but mine happen in the middle of the night.. better to stretch you toes up first then out to prevent from doing this.. or get up and strretch it.. the probalem is half asleep no one ever thinks about it..More Calcium is suppose to help as per my midwife
