My mood while writing this blog: down |
Well my 94 year old grandma passed away in the middle of the night last night. My mom and aunt found her Saturday morning. Very sad. She was ready to go, and every thing was in order so that made it okay for my mom and aunt. Still very sad. They are still coming up from Fl. next weekend to throw me a shower. They are very happy it happend while they were in town, and that she was at home, not in a hospital or care place. So anyways....just a sad situation when someone dies. My husband is working tonight, and instead of coming home, he is going out to have a drink with a friend. Whatever! he better not wake me because Im going to church in the am, its been a couple of weeks..........I dont feel like he puts me first...whatever.

Friday, 6 Feb I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. I lost my grandmother october 30th of last year too. I think when 1 life is taken from us, 1 life is given to us. My grandmother stayed alive until the day I found out I was having a boy, the first boy on that side of the family for 28 years. She didn't know it yet but she finally got a great grand-son and a boy but I know she's watching over us from heaven. That's exactly what she'll do for you. Watch over you like an angel. God bless and I'm so terribly sorry again. Elizabeth B -
Thursday, 5 Feb Oh, Summer, I am sorry for your loss. I know it is hard to temper such a sad moment with such a joyous one soon to come. Just remember that she is looking down on you and the baby watching over you both. My grandma died right around the time I conceived, and I can't help but think that she sent the baby to me...like a gift from Heaven. Now when your baby is born, you can remember that your grandma sent her to you and helped deliver her safely into this world. You and your family are in my prayers. SunnyMom -

Sunday, 1 Feb Sorry to hear that, summer, though it is a blessing hen you die loved. I hope it was peaceful for her. Your mother and aunt do have your baby to forward to, nothing reaffirms life the way a new baby does. Sending prayers to your family. jamesonsmamma -

Sunday, 1 Feb Summer,
I'm sorry to hear about your family's loss. It does sound like she has had a "good" death and that she passed peacefully. We should all be so fortunate to live and love so long and to pass away from this world in such a peaceful mannor.
My uncle also passed away last week. While it is hard for us to celebrate the begining of life in the wake of death I believe it helps others in the family to cope. Do not feel guilty during your shower. Your grandma would have wanted you to cherish this new life and everything that comes with it.
