ok so we had an ultrasound the other day and afterwards i noticed my husband was much quieter than normal. everything looked great on the scan and baby is big and strong, healthy baby boy etc. everything you want to hear. but my husband still was a bit off. i asked him about it and he said nothing was wrong. i told one of my friends later and she mentioned something to her husband in passing (they have 5 kids) and he said that when he used to see the ultrasounds he would get scared and think not about having a baby but having a responsibility and another life to provide for...do you think that could be his problem or was he really just quiet for no reason...? weird

That could very well be. Having another child to care for is stressful especially if money is somewhat tight or the pg was unexpected. Although he know you are pg, seeing the baby brings a sense of reality to the situation. I would say differently if you had all girls and were having another girl........He will come around.

hmmm sounds like it could be! my fiance felt like this, but it was like the opposite when he saw the baby he wasnt worried but just sooooo happy. BUT we only have one child, so this was the first and of course he was excited. maybe since you guys already have 2 children the excitement is gone for him (until he sees the baby born of course!!) and all there is to think about is stress and providing? men think so differently than woman, and they dont have contact or physical closeness with the baby until its born, so while you feel close and happy the whole time, they can feel kinda distant and unsure. im sure he will come around when it gets closer or when the baby arrives!
