so my friends aunt just got married in july and she is 45 so they didnt want to waste time on having a kid. they went in for ivf and they implanted 2 eggs. a few days later they showed that both of the eggs implanted but they were too early to see if they were both viable. at her next ultrasound it showed that one of the eggs did not take but they did find a heartbeat of the other embryo. then the tech turns to her and says "here's another heartbeat, in the same sac. youre having identical twins." so they were really shocked/ excited to hear that news. but then at her next ultrasound appointment she was told "well it looks like there is a 3rd baby. identical triplets" isnt that a trip!!! could you imagine going in and expecting one baby with the max of 2 and coming out with IDENTICAL TRIPLETS? goodness!
