16-10-2009 - Little update

My mood while writing this blog: Bored and tired!

Hello all!

Emma's had us a bit worried these past few weeks. She was really poorly with a nasty cold, then she went days without doing a poop. Then I took her to see the health visitor when she was 12 weeks old, her first visit since she was 7 weeks old. When she weighed her she found that she only weighed 8lbs 15oz...that means she'd only gained 7oz in 5 weeks!

I got all upset and really worried and took her to the Drs but they said nothing was wrong with her and when I took her back to the health visitor on Wednesday (at 13 weeks and 2 days) they said she weighed 9lbs 3, so she is gaining weight again which is great! :) I'm taking her back again next Weds just to make sure that she is still gaining then she wont have to go again for a few weeks.

On top of that we've had a really difficult couple of weeks when it comes to sleeping. It's so frustrating! We were just getting bedtimes perfected and now we seem to have shot right back, her sleeping is so erratic again. We've been starting our days at 4am for the last few days. Then last night she slept from 9pm 'till 12am then woke up just as Wayne and I were getting in bed and stayed awake screaming till just after 6am...poor lamb's suffering really bad with teething and still gets colic very badly. She screamed so much this morning that she made herself sick. :-\

She seems ok now wthough, she's just woken up from a little nap and is sat next to me gurgling and playing with her tioys which is nice... :) Gonna go now because I want to enjoy her while she's in a good mood! Lol.
