| 11-11-2009 - Started giving Emma formula! :( | My mood while writing this blog:Crappy |
I've been taking Emma to see the health visitor every week now since we noticed she wasn't gaing much weight 5 weeks ago. And she's still not gaining much...she only weighs 9 lbs 10 now, she was 6lbs 1 at birth.
The Dr checked her out (twice) and both times could find nothing at all wrong, and she's growing in length normally - she's 58cm now -...just she's not very heavy.
We made an appointment with the hospital so that they could check her out and the useless twats sent me an appointment out for Dec 23rd! (As if I can wait that long with a tiny baby who's not thriving! - So glad I pay my frigging taxes...useless f*cking NHS!!!) Anyway, I told my HV and she rang the hosp and asked them to bring the appt closer, just waiting for a call from the pead now. Hopefully they'll see her very soon!
I've started giving her a tiny bit of formula before bed now to see if it's my milk that's a problem...I have been loosing weight myself these last few weeks and I don't know why. (I've dropped to below my pre-pregnancy weight now and I wasn't very big to start :-/ I look like a flaming whippet! :( Lol.)
I'm a bit worried about giving her the formula because my big sister was on that and she was such a poorly baby. Hopefully Emma will be ok though, I keep telling myself that some people start giving their babies solids at 17 weeks so a bit of formula can't hurt her...butI still feel so guilty that I can't exclusively bf anymore! :/
Hope you're all ok?! xxx
