| 23-6-2011 - Update on Emma | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Only four days have passed since I posted my last blog about Emma's behaviour but we've already had a complete turn around! She's suddenly loving and happy again. It's like a miracle! :)
I've started pumping so that Wayne can give Dylan a bottle occasionally whilst I have special time with Emma and it's worked wonders! I also keep telling her how she's my special big girl and how she can do this, that and the other because she's a big girl but Dylan can't do that stuff yet because he's just a baby.
I love spending time with her again and feel like I've got my little girl back! :) She's still not 100%, she's having tantrums with more frequency than before and continues to hit and bite me when she's upset which she'd never done before...but with her second birthday looming I suppose that was to be expected anyway! Lol.
I was talking about her birthday with my parents today and told them how I was planning on making her a dinosaur birthday cake. (She's obsessed with dinosaurs and monsters at the moment). She must have been evesdropping because about twenty minutes later she came up to me and said "I have the dinosaur cake now?" LOL. I couldn't believe it...she's too clever for her own good! Luckily I was able to trick her a bit...we had a cake in the fridge so I said "No, I said you can have a dinosaur AND a cake" so I gave her a slice of the cake from the fridge then we went into town and bought her a toy dinosaur. It's one of those remote controlled ones and she's thrilled to bits with it! I was planning on buying her a present today anyway because she's been so accepting when people have been coming with gifts for Dylan and not her. Today my parents brought round even more presents for the baby (from my aunt and uncle) but had nothing for Emma and she opened them all for him then gave them straight to him without fussing at all.
Thanks so much for all your advice and kind words on my last blog ladies! It really helped! :)
