16-7-2011 - Emma\'s second birthday & photos

My mood while writing this blog: Exhausted but happy!

Well, it was Emma's second birthday on July 13th. She had a great day and was so spoiled!

The day before her birthday we had a little tea party for her and all her little friends came. The next day (on her actual birthday) we took her to a play farm (like a petting zoo thing) with Waynes Grandma and my parents. The weather wasn't great but we still had a lovely day. She loved seeing all the animals and got to give a baby goat a bottle which she thought was fantastic! They also had ride on tractors and a huge play area (indoor and outdoor) and a giant sandpit for the little ones.

Emma's birthday cake. (That thing was supposed to be a dinosaur but I'm not good at cake making so it turned out more like a punk rocker crocodile! ^_^ )

The writing ran so I had to smudge it and re-do it. I added an extra fondant dinosaur too!

Doesn't matter that the cake didn't look great, she loved eating it! =)

Dylan is 7 weeks old now and still just perfect! He's always smiling and cooing and even squeals with excitment sometimes! He's so cute and Emma just adores him. She's always asking to cuddle and kiss him and when she hears him crying she makes a big fuss saying "Oh dear baby Dylan! Don't cry!" :) She's a brilliant big sister.

He sleeps really well too. Most nights he goes to bed at 8pm, wakes at 2am for a feed then sleeps till 5am. :) Unfortunately my body doesn't want to sleep so while him, Emma and Wayne are all sleeping peacefully I'm wide awake wishingI could sleep too! Lol.

The only problem is that the poor boy is teething already! :/ Emma started teething at 6 weeks too but I was really hoping he'd be older before he started. I hate seeing him in so much pain and he's too young for me to give him anything for it.
