04-1-2009 - 6 months old

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

Aliyah is 6 months old! Wow...a half a year has gone by already. She weighs 22 lbs. 8 oz and is 27 1/2 in. tall. I took Aliyah to the dr today for her 6 month checkup. Dr Fernando said that Aliyah weighs as much as a 24 month old baby should weigh. I asked him if I should be concerned at all and he laughed and said no. That when she became more mobile she should start slimming down some. This last month has been the best month so far I would say. Aliyah is so fun to be around. She is always smiling. She is sitting very well now. She loves to just sit in the floor and play with her toys. She also loves her new jumperoo that she got for Christmas. Aliyah has just recently learned how to blow rasberries. Sooo cute!!! She is also started playing with feet. No teeth yet and by feeling of her gums it probably will be another month or so. We had such a great Christmas this year all the girls got so many toys. Alissa my 9 year old said that this was the best Christmas she has ever had. Aliyah sat there with her sister and did her very best to eat all the wrapping paper. I will be starting Aliayh on veggies in the next couple of days. I think we will start with the green veggies first. I plan on making my own baby food this time around. I hope that it isn't to time consuming. I have read that it is much healthier and lots cheaper. I can't wait to see what this next month brings.
